Where our paths meet
When we get too caught up in over-intellectualizing our human experiences, we lose touch with our bodies. Our lives can feel confusing and disconnected. Working with a somatic practitioner helps us reconnect with the real, felt sense of living.
For the Fertility Journey
Somatic therapy provides compassionate and holistic support for individuals and couples navigating the fertility journey. By emphasizing the mind-body connection, somatic therapy helps to alleviate stress, release emotional and physical tensions, and create a more harmonious internal environment conducive to fertility. This approach fosters deep body awareness and resilience, empowering individuals to connect with their body’s wisdom and navigate the complexities and emotional challenges of fertility treatments. Through gentle somatic practices, clients can cultivate a sense of calm, hope, and connection, enhancing their overall well-being and the journey toward parenthood.
For Birth and Motherhood
Somatic therapy offers a unique and holistic approach to support mothers through the transformative journey of birth and parenting. By focusing on the mind-body connection, somatic therapy helps expectant and new mothers to process and release stored trauma, manage stress, and cultivate a deep sense of embodied presence. This practice empowers women to tune into their bodies, fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and a nurturing bond with their children. Through somatic techniques, mothers can navigate the challenges of birth and parenting with greater ease, authenticity, and connection to their own wisdom and strength.
For Healing Trauma
Over the course of our lives, we naturally come into contact with challenging situations. Somatic therapy offers a powerful, body-centered approach to healing trauma. By focusing on the nervous system and the mind-body connection, somatic therapy helps individuals process and release stored traumatic energy, fostering a sense of safety and resilience. This approach involves gentle techniques to increase body awareness, regulate emotions, and reconnect with the body's innate capacity for healing. Through somatic practices, individuals can transform their relationship with trauma, reclaim their sense of self, and move towards a life of greater balance and well-being.

What’s Blocking You?
A Closer Look At Somatics
What Is Somatic Therapy?
Somatic therapy is a body-centered approach that helps release stress, trauma, and emotional blocks held in the body. It works by combining mindful awareness, movement, and nervous system regulation techniques to promote a sense of calm, connection, and resilience.
How It Works:
1. Awareness: We begin by noticing how emotions and sensations show up in your body.
2. Supportive Practices: Through gentle guidance, we explore breathwork, grounding exercises, and mindful movement.
3. Integration: As your nervous system finds balance, your body can naturally release stored tension, leading to greater emotional ease and well-being.
Why It Matters:
Your body holds the key to lasting emotional health. Somatic therapy helps you reconnect with your inner wisdom, releasing what no longer serves you and cultivating space for growth—like roots anchoring deeply into nourishing soil.
Challenging events and traumas get “stored” in our tissues and cells by way of sensations and tonicity, impacting how we respond to future events.
Our inability to move away from these stressors prevents us from living and moving through the world from a place of ease and resilience.
These unprocessed events, or memories in your body, can present as physical pain or body-based tension that can lead to certain movement patterns and a general sense of dis-ease, resulting in chronic pain, fatigue, and illness.
These experiences can create deeply rooted beliefs about ourselves that simply “changing our thinking” cannot resolve. We end up with pervasive inner thoughts like “I’m not good enough”, “I’m not worthy”, or “I am not seen or heard,” and these narratives can emerge during stressful experiences or at times that seem totally unrelated. In this way we can feel traumatized over and over again.
Somatic therapy addresses physical and emotional symptoms that arise from challenging life experiences and trauma. It is suitable for anyone needing support on their healing journey and can help create real, tangible transformation.

I’m Pam, a somatic therapist passionate about helping individuals reconnect with themselves through the wisdom of the body and the rhythms of nature.
Rooted in the belief that our bodies hold powerful stories, I guide clients in cultivating resilience, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of belonging—both within themselves and in their communities.

Mom of 3 littles, partner to hay and grain farmer and in the Alberta growing season, a flower farmer too, find me on growing days in the flower field at PoppyWynn Flower Co
With my own experiences of heartbreak, fertility challenges, miscarriages, and feeling at wits end about many parts of my life, I’ve undergone some big changes along the way.
At its core, the way I live my life, share my work and deliver my message is about finding the softness around returning to an imperfect human identity rather than a projected persona of perfection at the expense of true community support, intimacy, and belonging. It's about nourishment on many levels.
